AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Archaeologist/Principal Investigator (Archaeologist IV) for full-time permanent employment in one of our New York City offices.
An Archaeologist IV is a core member of the Cultural Resources Program in the New York City metro area, with responsibility for successfully winning and executing projects, and leading all aspects of project implementation, while serving as Principal Investigator. Additional responsibilities include interfacing with regulatory agencies, private and public sector clients, and AECOM Project Managers, planners, and subject matter experts. The Senior Archaeologist/Principal Investigator will have extensive knowledge of field excavation techniques, implement archaeological inventory, evaluation, and data recovery efforts, analyze prehistoric and historic artifacts, and prepare compliance reports. They will also oversee staff in field, laboratory, and office contexts. This is a regular, full-time, salaried position.
