Assembler (Only manufacturing and blueprint experience required!)

Location -Poway, CA

Shift -1st and 2nd Shifts Available (9/80 shift schedule)

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble cables for aircraft and ground control stations.
• Follow methods and sequence of operations for assembly tasks including wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
• Comprehend assembly drawings or written work instructions.
• Crimp terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tooling.
• Label assemblies in accordance with drawing specifications.
• Perform soldering-tinning of wires and connections.
• Conduct a variety of tasks from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly.
• Use basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, soldering iron, and heat gun.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with control procedures.
• Observe all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations.

Essential Skills

• Three or more years of experience in manufacturing roles
• Experienced with drawings or blueprints
• Proficiency in cable assembly and/or cable harnessing is a plus
• Experience with soldering, cable harnessing, assembly, and wire crimping.
• Ability to read, follow, and understand blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and wire lists.
• Knowledge of crimping terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tooling.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, soldering iron, heat gun.
• Good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.96 - $27.26/hr.
