AUTOMOTIVE GLASS INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

THE POSITION: As an Automotive Glass Installer/Technician, you will use a small array of power or hand tools to repair/replace automotive glass and/or various other windows and mirrors in a wide variety of vehicles.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and management.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to high-quality service to internal and external customers.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience or training required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Current, valid driver’s license; satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicles for damage prior to performing any type of work on the vehicle.
  • Inspect all new glass for any imperfections prior to performing any type of work on the vehicle.
  • Use of proper techniques to remove damaged glass without causing additional damage to vehicle.
  • Use of proper techniques to install new glass.
  • Handle glass in a safe manner.
  • Effectively communicate with customers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the body shop manager.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to frequently lift over 25 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, scrub.
  • Frequently, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
