Bartenders For New York City Elite Events.

Location: New York City, NY (events at various venues).

Job Summary: SGA Lists is seeking energetic, reliable, and experienced bartenders to join our New York City team. As a bartender, you will provide exceptional service to guests while skillfully preparing a variety of beverages in a fast-paced, high-energy event environment. You will play a key role in ensuring an enjoyable guest experience while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to standard recipes and event specifications.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service; address guest needs and requests promptly and politely.
  • Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible service of alcohol in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked with ice, glassware, garnishes, napkins, and other supplies.
  • Operate the cash register or point-of-sale system; process payments and provide accurate change.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning spills and maintaining a tidy workspace.
  • Collaborate with event staff and other bartenders to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after events.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and be able to make recommendations to guests.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of bartending experience, with experience at large events a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of beverages including cocktails, beer, and wine; ability to craft and customize drinks as requested.
  • Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced environments with professionalism and composure.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Age 21 or older, and eligible to serve alcohol in New York State.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in crowded, dynamic environments.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.
  • TIPS (or equivalent) certification preferred but not required; validity or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe is a plus.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with event bar setups, mobile bars, or catering environments.
  • Knowledge of responsible beverage service best practices and local regulations.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest base.


Schedule and Availability:

  • Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and event-based work.
  • Shifts may vary by event; must be able to commit to multiple events as needed.
