Blue Seal Boiler Operator & Mechanic Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain 2 – 500HP Fire Tube high-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment in compliance with state and local codes.
- Monitor boiler operations, perform routine tests, and adjust systems as needed to maintain efficiency and safety.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on boilers, compressors, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and perform corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection logs.
- Support plant operations by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns.
- Ability to also work on other mechanical tasks that are assigned.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Blue Seal Boiler Operator’s License (required).
- Proven experience operating and maintaining boilers in an industrial environment.
- Mechanical skills with the ability to repair and maintain a variety of plant equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and OSHA standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
Preferred Skills
- HVAC, electrical, or welding experience a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production facility.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year
