Housekeeping Worker - Evening - Part Time - Weekends/Holidays

Our housekeeping staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our housekeeping professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital.

Maintain cleanliness and a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support within our hospital. Spend quality time and build solid relationships with patients and their families. Go above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.

This is a part time position, working evenings from 3:30 pm to 11:30pm, including every Saturday and Sunday. This position will require registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.

Preferred Criteria

• High school diploma or GED

• 3-6 months of hospital housekeeping experience

• Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First.

• Experience in the hotel, restaurant or retail industry.

Required Criteria

• Capable of using equipment and tools necessary for performance of duty

• Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions

• Must be able to work with patient and bodily fluids/excrement/odors

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
