Annual Salary: $55,000 - $70,000

Remote (Illinois) | Occasional travel to Mokena, IL

What You’ll Do
You coordinate international ocean shipments of cement moved on dry bulk vessels (not containerized freight). This role focuses on a small number of high‑impact shipments each month and involves close coordination with internal teams and external partners to move cargo into U.S. ports.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate 2–3 bulk vessel shipments per month from international suppliers to U.S. ports
• Track shipments from origin to arrival in West Palm Beach, FL and New Orleans, LA
• Manage shipping documents including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, and Arrival Notices
• Work with shipping lines, brokers, port partners, and internal teams
• Monitor vessel schedules and communicate delays or changes
• Resolve issues with shipments, documentation, or delivery timing

Additional Context

• Shipments primarily originate from Asia

Where You’ll Work 
This is a remote role based in Illinois. Occasional travel to our Mokena, IL office is required (approximately once every 6–8 weeks), so living within a reasonable driving distance is important. Nearby areas such as Northwest Indiana may also work.

What You Need 
You have hands‑on experience with ocean shipments and are comfortable managing shipping documents and tracking cargo.

• Experience in ocean shipping, maritime logistics, or international shipping
• Experience working with documents such as Bills of Lading or Commercial Invoices
• Experience coordinating shipments with freight forwarders, shipping agents, or brokers
• Ability to communicate across teams to keep shipments moving

Important Note
If your experience is limited to containerized shipments only and you have not worked with vessel‑based shipments, this role will likely not be a fit.
