Boiler Operator

President Container Group, a leading independent manufacturer of Corrugated Packaging (Sheets, Boxes, Trays, Partitions, Displays, etc..) is seeking a full-time practiced Boiler Operator for the factory in rural Orange County, NY (Middletown, NY), 60 miles north of New York City (20 miles from New Jersey and Pennsylvania).  President Container, the manufacturing arm of PCG, is one of the largest corrugated plants (over 500,000 square feet) in North America. Our state-of-the-art facility has some of the most up-to-date machinery in the industry, and with it we produce in excess of 2.3 billion square feet of corrugated each year. We are committed to producing sustainable packaging that is clean, safe, and protects the environment and the communities in which we live.

Responsibilities:

»Following all safety rules and practices

»Performing emergency/break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations

»Accurately using measurement and test equipment

»Maintaining clean and organized work areas and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks

»Accurately and completely preparing records and other paperwork

»Trouble-shooting and solving problems

»Teamwork with other associates

»Performing other tasks as assigned by supervision

» practice in manufacturing environment preferred

»Operate water treatment equipment.

»Make adhesive used in corrugating process

General Requirements:

»One of the following is required:

»First Class B or higher Boiler Operators License

»OR a certification from a certified boiler training school within the last 3 years

»OR 3 years of practice operating a 300 horse Boiler

» expertise of a high-pressure condensation return system is a PLUS

»Strong troubleshooting expertise

»Written and verbal communications expertise

» capability to work well as part of a team

»High School Diploma or GED required

» capability to read, write, and speak English

» capability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices

» capability to learn; and the capability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team

»Must be willing to work OT including Saturdays or Sundays as needed
