Job Description
We are actively seeking a Patient Accounts Representative to join a growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate would have experience in medical billing, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent organization skils. You will be responsible for processing insurance and patient payments and for balancing batches against daily deposits and maintaining daily production reports.
salary: $16 - $16.99 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Processing payments for insurance companies and patients either electronically or manually within established timeframe.
- Posting payment batches including denials within established timeframe and balancing batches against daily deposits.
- Provide supporting documentation for each payment transaction through submission of the daily control number report and daily production log for all batches (manual and electronic).
- Maintains knowledge of all policy and procedures.
- Participates in unit progress meetings.
- Turns to Supervisor for unusual circumstances.
- Performs any and all duties as directed by management.
