Job Description: PRODUCTION CONTROL CLERK
Make meaningful contributions that fuel critical outcomes for some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects. Join GDIT as a Production Control Clerk for a career where your growth is just as important as the mission you support.
- Compile and record production data from:
- Customer orders
- Work tickets
- Product specifications
- Individual worker production sheets
- Follow prescribed recording procedures using various word processing and data entry techniques
- Calculate production-related factors, including:
- Types and quantities of items produced
- Materials used
- Amount of scrap
- Frequency of defects
- Worker and departmental production rates
- Use tools such as computers, calculators, and spreadsheets to perform calculations and maintain records
- Prepare production reports based on compiled and analyzed data, following established formats
- Maintain organized files of all relevant documents and records
- Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets to guide production workers in assembly and manufacturing processes
- Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and production priorities
- Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies
- Create and maintain production charts, graphs, or pegboard displays for use by production and management personnel
- Sort and distribute work tickets and materials as needed
- Compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data for payroll preparation

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.24 - $26.45. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
