Safety Coordinator - Ground-Up Commercial / Concrete
A respected and growing General Contractor is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support ground-up commercial construction projects. This company is known for its strong safety culture, high-quality builds, and team-first mindset. They are looking for a proactive safety professional with ground-up commercial or concrete experience who is passionate about maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient jobsites.Responsibilities:
Oversee and enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance on active jobsites
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety meetings
Coordinate and lead toolbox talks and safety training sessions
Partner with project managers and superintendents to proactively identify and correct hazards
Investigate incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions
Maintain safety documentation including JHAs, SDS logs, and required reporting
Support subcontractor safety compliance and accountability
Promote a strong culture of safety across all project teams
Qualifications:
2+ years of safety experience in construction required
Ground-up commercial construction and/or concrete experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations
OSHA 30 required (CHST or other certifications a plus)
Ability to confidently communicate with field teams and leadership
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
