Coeur d'Alene Resort Spa Director

The Coeur d'Alene Resort is seeking an experienced and dynamic Spa Director to lead one of the Northwest's premier luxury resort spa operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality leader passionate about wellness, elevated guest experiences, team development, and operational excellence.

This leadership role oversees a luxury spa operation generating more than $5 million annually with a team of approximately 80–90 employees. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced resort environment and understands how to balance exceptional guest service, team culture, and financial performance.

Located in beautiful North Idaho, the Coeur d'Alene Resort offers a unique lifestyle opportunity surrounded by lakes, mountains, outdoor recreation, and a growing luxury hospitality market.

Position Summary

The Spa Director is responsible for the overall leadership, daily operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development of the Coeur d'Alene Resort Spa. This role requires a motivated and visible leader who can build culture, inspire teams, maintain elevated hospitality standards, and drive operational success within a high-volume luxury environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Lead all spa operations, including front desk, service providers, attendants, retail, and leadership team

● Oversee approximately 80–90 employees within a high-volume resort spa environment

● Maintain exceptional guest service standards and luxury hospitality experiences

● Drive financial performance through budgeting, labor management, payroll oversight, and revenue growth initiatives

● Recruit, train, mentor, and develop managers and spa team members

● Ensure operational efficiency, cleanliness, organization, and compliance with Resort standards

● Monitor scheduling, staffing levels, productivity, and guest feedback to support operational success

● Collaborate with Resort leadership on promotions, events, strategic initiatives, and overall guest experience enhancements

● Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture focused on accountability and engagement

Qualifications and Requirements

● Minimum 5 years of Spa Management experience required

● Resort spa or luxury hospitality experience strongly preferred

● Proven experience managing large teams and multiple department leaders

● Strong background in operations, guest service, budgeting, labor management, and team development

● Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment

● Experience creating elevated guest experiences and hospitality-focused cultures

● Experience with Spa Soft or similar spa management systems preferred

● Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
