WorkFit Medical Staffing is currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical procedures by maintaining the sterility and readiness of surgical instruments and equipment. Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and best practices.
• Inspect and test sterilization processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Manage the inventory of surgical supplies and instruments, ensuring adequate stock and timely reordering.
• Identify and document any discrepancies or issues involving sterilization processes.
• Assist in training new staff on sterile processing techniques and department protocols.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to facilitate efficient instrument turnover for procedures.

Work Environment:

• Flexible shifts available based on departmental needs, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Sterile Processing preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in sterile processing or related field.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads as necessary and be on your feet for extended periods.
