Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and customer experience. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our standards for taste and presentation. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all food safety guidelines are followed while delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and create a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with customers, create relationships
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests and addressing any questions or concerns
Skills: they may have
- Strong culinary skills, with a focus on sushi preparation techniques
- Knowledge of different types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi dishes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and slicing of ingredients
- Understanding of food production processes, including proper food handling and storage procedures
- Proficiency in inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels of ingredients
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
