The Must Have's we're looking for:

1. Flexibility to learn - super important since all the software is proprietary and learning from feedback
2. Solid understanding of Animation principles - showcased in the demo reel, can use any animation software (ToonBoom, Harmony, Animate, Moho, Spine, After Effects, etc.), we mostly look for 2D rigged animation, VFX motion graphics, however 2D hand animation is also good.
3. Critical thinking - needed for questioning why we work the way we do, solving technical challenges, problem solving

Technical Designer Role

Purpose :

The purpose of a Technical Designer is to bridge the gap between Creative Design and Development. Technical Design works closely with both communities to build efficient components to work inside the product.

With that you will be creating, but not limited to :

• Various mockups
• Particles / Animations / Visual FXs
• 3D Models / Textures
• Game Element Designs
• Building optimized game ready assets
• Working closely with developers ensuring concepts / designs are achievable and efficient.

Skills :

Excellent working knowledge using:

• Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects)
• Esoteric Spine
• HTML / CSS
• Optimizing Files for Production
• 2D and 3D art production

Personal Skills:

• Strong Problem-Solving skills
• Ability to take direction and work independently
• Ability to learn new programs/processes quickly
• Ability to take input and make changes in a timely manner

As a Technical Designer, you will be expected to assist with project scheduling providing accurate time estimations for the expected work. As the bridge between design and development, you will often be tasked with working on multiple projects across multiple teams. This requires you to have quick turnaround times and strong problem-solving skills as to not become overwhelmed.

Qualifications :

• Degree / Diploma in Graphic Design / Game Art & Design / Game Development / Animation
• Minimum of 4 years' work experience in the Gaming, Design, Marketing, Advertising or Animation field.
• High level of experience and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
• HTML / CSS knowledge.
• (Plus) Coding / Scripting Experience

Senior Level Candidate Requirements:

• A strong animation demo reel showcasing VFX and 2D computer animation showing an understanding of animation principles
• 3D effects animation is a plus but not required
• Strong experience working in a gaming engine
• Experience working in the mobile gaming industry and/or experience in working in the mobile slot game industry
• Working knowledge of AI tools is a plus
• Able to maintain clean folder structure
• Able to build their own effects
