While we work with students across the country, our immediate openings are:
Location:
Los Angeles County, Foster Youth Services
Cities and Zip Codes needed:
Torrance, CA 90501
Schedule:
Weekday afternoons/evenings (during the school year) and flexible weekends
Schedule is based on mutual tutor and student availability
Hours:
5-15 hours per week, with the possibility of 15+ hours per week within 30 days by working additional virtual or in-person hours.
Pay:
$25 per hour
An additional mileage stipend is provided for tutoring at more than 1 location per day.
In this role, you will:
Provide tutoring sessions to K-12 students in various subjects using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer
In this role you will need to be able to meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements for this position
You can provide 3 professional references
You have a minimum of 60 units of college credits
You have at least one year of student-related experience
You are detail-oriented and highly dependable
You are an effective communicator
You have reliable transportation
You can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired
You love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar
