The Maintenance Worker– Utility Locator performs precision utility locating of electrical, sewer, and water lines for all divisions of Public Works.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualifications: A High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Illinois Driver’s License and Valid Illinois Commercial Driver’s License with related endorsements are required. Possession of a Flagger’s Certification may be required. Must have extensive knowledge of line tracing equipment, drafting and GIS and magnetic locators, radio detection and Metrotech locating equipment and basic computer skills. Prior experience of utility locating preferred.
Salary: $29.95 starting pay with wages increase up to $43.05 per CBA
