The Illustrator / Animator, Kids role at PragerU is a highly creative, detail-oriented position. This individual will work directly with the Art Director to support our Kids show content through animation, motion graphics, as well as illustration and graphic design as needed. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with digital animation, motion graphics, as well as illustration skills. This is a storytelling role requiring visual ideas, expressed clearly and powerfully.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver animation and motion graphics for show and promotional content
• Illustrate and design graphics for a wide variety of content, from video to print
• Create storyboards, animatics, and mood boards to visualize ideas
• Leverage AI image and video software to create art assets 
• Add sound effects and/or music assets to projects
• Assist with page layout and design for print materials
• Contribute visual storytelling ideas to each project
• Handle many projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Read and understand creative direction
• Prepare and deliver organized files, specs, and assets for internal and external teams
• Conform to standardized workflow and best practices

Successful Candidates Will Possess :

• Strong animation and motion graphics portfolio
• 3+ years experience in Animation and/or Motion Graphics 
• Fluency with Adobe CC suite of products, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, and Illustrator
• Fluency with AI image and video generation, including Gemini, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly
• Knowledge of different animation approaches, their strengths and drawbacks. 
• Graphic design and illustration skills with an understanding of color theory
• An understanding of cinematic storytelling devices, and how these devices are used to communicate a narrative or emotional point
• Ability to work under pressure without compromising performance or accuracy
• Work effectively with others in a collaborative team environment and/or independently with minimal supervision, while able to follow direction
• A flexible, “roll with the punches” attitude when game-plans change
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines
• Effective time management, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines

• High attention to detail and accuracy
• An eye for quality and a passion for excellence

Salary Range : The salary target for this role is $70,000 - $85,000+. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
