Job Title: Entry-Level Welder / Fabricator

Location: Hudsonville, MI

Shift: 1st Shift; 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday OT on Friday

Pay: $21/hr

Job Summary:

ESPEC is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in welding and fabrication. You will work alongside experienced team members to fabricate and assemble components while learning valuable skills in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with MIG and/or TIG welding on metal components
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Measure, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication
Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills
Assemble parts and components according to specifications
Inspect finished welds and parts for quality and accuracy
Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
Follow all safety procedures and proper use of PPE
Support senior welders and fabricators as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required
Welding certificate or technical training preferred (but not required)
Basic knowledge of welding or fabrication is a plus
Ability to read a tape measure and basic blueprints
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good work ethic and reliable attendance
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (heat, noise, etc.)
